BALLISTICS: The 115-grain DTAC has approximately 10 points lower BC than a 142gr 6.5mm Sierra. Everybody's BC calculations vary so I believe this is the best way to evaluate it against the 142gr 6.5 Sierra. But with the right bullet, the cartridge has enough energy to tackle large game. Mike, I would imagine the Berger will shoot as well as any of the others and maybe better. My 270WSM has been pretty easy to load for. RL22, IMR7828 and MagPro have all worked excellent with the 130-150 grain bullets.

Jan 06, 2014 · You stated you wanted to load varmint loads. I have had good luck with the 65 gr. vmax, Varget works great for higher velocity. 3031is fine with 75-85 grain bullets and a lower speed. For flat land coyotes, where they can put 300 yds between you and the truck very fast, you will find the 65 grain bullet and speed is a great combination.
